The mission of the Safe & Drug Free Schools program is to ensure a safe, orderly and caring environment for our students, staff and the community as mandated by the No Child Left Behind Act. P.L. 107-110, Section 4114 of Title IV.

 

 


2010 PRIDE SURVEY

In 2010, through our Safe Schools/Healthy Students grant, Graham County Schools administered the PRIDE survey to our students. This survey reflects student perception of drug, alcohol and tobacco use in the county. The results of the PRIDE survey are indicated on the following PDF attachment:

SCHOOL VIOLENCE PREVENTION ACT

The Graham County Board of Education adopted the attached policy regarding prohibition against discrimination, harrassment and bullying in December 2009. Please read the policy in detail to fully understand and comprehend the zero-tolerance policy that is now in place in our LEA. The Board acknowledges the dignity and worth of all students and employees and strives to create a safe, orderly, caring and inviting school environment to facilitate student learning and achievement. The Board will not tolerate any form of unlawful discrimination, harrassment or bullying in any of its educational or employment activities.
